vio-1“Miss Becky” Price is an experienced, professional and devoted musician and teacher. She has studied and performed music for over 50 years.   In 1997 she became founder and teacher for Becky’s Violin Studio, and has taught violin, fiddle, viola and beginning cello for over 20 years. Previously to this studio she has taught professionally at select music stores, public schools, City of San Bernardino recreation programs for DD children and teens and for City of Yucaipa Scherer Center Seniors Violin Class.

She and her students perform regularly at studio recitals, called Play Parties. The advanced group performs regularly at Golden Meadows, assisted living community and at Braswell´s Meditaranean Gardens.  Rebecca is a freelance performer and has performed at the Highland Springs Resort, ART productions, at churches, the civil war reenactments, weddings and proposals. etc..  She was concert mistress for the Yucaipa String Orchestra for three years.  She has played professionally as an orchestral member in the Redlands Symphony, San Bernardino Symphony, Inland Empire Symphony, Redlands Chamber Orchestra and Redlands Bowl Orchestras. In addition to playing professionally, she was a member for two years of the American Youth Symphony, a Los Angeles based training orchestra, then directed by Mehli Mehta, father of Zubin Mehta.  She was also a private student with Mr. Mehta.  More orchestral conductors she worked under are Aaron Copland, Carmen Dragon, James Guthrie and she performed in concert with artists such as Phyllis Diller, Shirley Jones, William Preucil and more. She played in the The Chicago Symphony’s training orchestra Chicago Youth Orchestra under the direction of Sir Georg Solti, legendary conductor of the Chicago Symphony.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

She was a  member of Redlands Community Orchestra for 5 years, where she participated as Principal Second Violinist for 2+ years and then served in the First Violin section for 3 years.

In 1981 she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Violin Performance, with a Minor in the Humanities, from Johnston College at the University of Redlands. She began teaching children as a child, and as a college student and discovered a passion for helping others to learn.

She has recorded her CD entitled “Rebecca Price, Just Fiddlin’ Around which is available to purchase on this website and to listen to on this website on the top of The Welcome Page.  Please go to Contact page, leaving place your order or call/text Miss Rebecca at (909) 790-1613.  The music featured ranges from Scottish, Irish fiddle tunes, American Bluegrass and classical music of Vivaldi, Brahms, and Massenet. Rebecca studied cello with the following teachers:

In 2000, Rebecca was awarded a Certificate of Merit for her string programs taught at Dunlap Elementary School in Yucaipa.

In 2010-11 she was named professional woman by The National Association of Professional Women.
